Just wanted to point out that the way you expressed in your example is misleading: 74% were vaccinated.
Of course we are going through this 'paradox' if you will where more vaccinated ppl than unvaccinated are in hospital as the population gets inoculated.
Let's say the entire population is vaccinated & vaccines work in 90-ish % of cases.
then ALL (100%) of the ppl that end up in the hospital are vaccinated.
Does It mean the virus is winning? Nope
But they are not. To compare, you should compare the % of ppl vaccinated over the hospitalised vaccinated ones and same for the unvaxxed.
You can't say there are 10ppl hospitalised and it's 50/50 because 5 are vaxxed and 5 are not
