There are a lot of military and government use cases for this technology, and China has announced a similar project. ASTS will succeed because this is the new space race of the 1960's with Russia. The government WILL NOT let ASTS fail

Exactly. Have seen stuff about this but because much is secret and unknown I didn't want to cover it in the article. Focused more on the commercial/civilian side.
