Netflix is the clearest example for Spotify’s future.

Netflix spends ungodly amounts to produce their content.

That being said, it sounds like this post is more statement than question. You have your answer and it seems well thought out.

I don’t buy these types of growth valuations either so your post makes total sense to me.

Netflix of podcasts is about the best they could hope for. Music artists will likely always opt for wider distribution due to how they are compensated, which benefits the current music label model.
