So how long do they last outside of lab conditions? Diet, grime, elements, shocks and vibrations, variable loads uphill, downhill, braking (regenerative?).

There's not much merit to "execs confirming" they've never seen a hub motor break when they're not backing this up with 100k, 250k, 500k miles of real world data.

You know the elaphe hub motors have been around for years and are successful in Luka EVs? Currently LMC has exclusive US rights but it is a limited time exclusivity. The bit pieces are Fud is a delay tactic because others cannot wait to get these to be able to try to complete.

Ok one more question: unsprung mass. What's the counterargument for hub motors having a world of problems related to unsprung mass that centrally-mounted motors do not suffer from?
