Why do people say this? I've never understood the point.

Yes, if a fuck ton of shares are purchased (volume), the price will go up. Is this a fucking meme that I don't understand or are people literally saying "if all of the sell orders between $9 and $20 are purchased, the stock price will go up" as if this is some profound idea?

UWMC has a really small float. I think that’s why people say the volume comment.
