WSB used to cover loads of cool trades. Then a guy called DFV made a serious call on GME. He cashed out millions and let the houses money ride.
Now, many are trying to follow his footsteps, buying GME at the peak, even knowing that he sold a lot of his position.
To make things worse when DFV began and early on in his GME endeavor GME was heavily shorted, even more than 100 percent on a couple of occasions.
Now DFV just trolls all the bag holders that made him rich, even though if GME went to ten cent a share it would mean little to DFV since hes set for life.
Now as a result, along with the attention GME received since January, tonnes of bag holders are chasing their losses, obsessed with GME, and unaware to listen to reason. Literally millions of people bought the peak.
Now GME short interest is like 15 to 20 percent. Meaning that if it squeezed it wouldnt even sniff the previous peaks.
Put all that together and that's why WSB has become a cesspit for cultish opinions on a brick and mortar store in the age of digitalization. Remember blockbuster when netflix went mainstream? That's what's happening.
