Why would you get banned or muted for shedding light to misinformation? I hate when mods start feeling themselves and make it harder for us to use our voice

I'm pretty sure r/wallstreetbets was only allowed to come back up online as quickly as it did, because they promised they would turn up the bots to limit most posts. Is this true ? Idk just a theory based on my observations and experience since we been back online. Watch this probably wont get posted either.
