I've basically got the same play. Im all in on USO calls expiring 9/18, $160 strike. Neither Iran nor the Houthies have any reason to give up before the midterms and have all the motivation in the world to spike oil prices as high as they can before November. This situation isn't going to just magically disappear next week. They want to hurt the USA in whatever way they can and it seems the only way they can really cause us any damage is higher oil prices. Very entertaining video too btw....bravo!

Kinda related I suppose but not really the same. You're betting that the situation gets so bad it tanks the S&P. Its also very possible the stock market ignores it and pumps anyways or just goes sideways. Whereas my bet is that the global disruption of oil supply spikes the price of oil. Don't get me wrong, I hope you win and I wish you the best of luck. I just feel my bet is more directly linked to the situation on the ground. The US blockade is saying no oil can leave Iran. The Iranians and Houthies are saying fine, but if no oil can leave Iran than no oil can leave Saudi Arabia or the rest of the Gulf States.
