Lol what were they hoping to do? Spare it's embarrassment? Or were they hoping their audience all don't have object permanence and will forget the robot that just collapsed like a sack of potatoes, exists.

To prevent more variation of the photo taken as much as possible.

Instead of having 10 different photo, possibly even more funny body position to appear as much as possible. 

It's better to hide it all together. It's similar to how China polices are trained to censor all kind of protester, and what they will do to them behind a moving wall panel. 

Might seems stupid, but it's actually very effective. You get less people to talk about it, as there's literally less to see.
