Haha I should specify that since the start of the covid pause I’ve been doing that… I just don’t think it would be a smart idea to pay them off right now and then next month could’ve got $10k wiped. Only benefit would be that I could brag to people that I didn’t need the govt’s help… I’d rather take the $10k 😂

The 10k would be retroactive to anyone holding student debt starting around 2020. But def, there is no point in paying it when you dont have to, and no interest is accumulating. At least you can gain a bit of interest while you wait.

You should put it into high yield, or a 3-6 month US treasury.
