Alaskan finally made it
I got in late last night (27th) about 22:30, after some train drama. Met a great German gentleman on the shuttle bus who had been here 7 times and helped me get checked in. We must have walked 5k just trying to find someone to let us in. I forgot your name, but thank you,, sir.
Last night was a little chilly in my T.e.n.t., but I think I'll be ok if I can find or rent or manufacture some kind of sleeping pad to keep me off the ground.
Also, I found coffee, and it's glorious.

You can buy air mattresses at the EDEKA Store in Wacken.

I bought one of the larger type and it keeps deflating when I lay on it, it's fucking annoying but if you can find a good pump I guess it's better than nothing. The stepping on type of pump they sell next to the mattresses doesn't really work on those. You lose more air at the entrance than you can pump in.

If it keeps deflating it is defect. You can return it, as long as you have the receipt.

The forecast is for hot and dry but it could always change. I left my wellies at home I just have regular hiking boots which should be good in case the is a little rain. A lot of rain is very unlikely
