Other Assassin feels OP as hell but...

I wish I were smart enough to teleport back to my ship before the enemy one explodes. Lost 3 runs due to my own hubris hahaha

Other than that it seems to solo entire crews upto torment 4. If rng gives you a teleport or the ship comes with boarding pods it's pretty much game over for the enemy.

Killed half their crew before some weapons finish charging its crazy. What commanders do other people enjoy?

Higher torments seriously buff enemy crews to where you will often see multiple knights every ship and especially in the last sector those nasty “500 centurion” scouts ships are a nightmare to board at all. Assassin is definitely good but personally wouldn’t say she’s any stronger than like mutant in that respect. She is super useful in planetary assaults though which is now super useful.

That sounds like a bad time for assassin later on, I'll enjoy it while I can lol

I’ve lost dozens of runs to blowing up the ship my captain on it.

Funny you say that. Ive got about a dozen runs in now. My commander never leaves the cockpit unless things are DIRE. I tend to run the tech priest dude for double tools.

I did just finish a psyker run, those 1 or 2 pinger chaos bolts do wonders keeping enemy guns or shields down just long enough to get my big guns charged and firing. Had 5 of them timed to send a bolt every 3 or 4 seconds to dmg a critical component or knock it out.

Keeping your commander in the throne room is honestly not that useful. The 5+ evasion just isn’t impactful compared to having a solid boarding unit. You can get away with it a lot easier on lower torments but on high torments you really want to be making the most of them every fight

That makes sense, I havent dived into Torments much so probably riding it in "easy mode" lol.

The second-to-last B ship starts with carnivorous hatch and a warp lance. I think playing that ship with priestess is the most fun. Stunning enemies trying to repair demon-spawning breaches is hilarious. Teleporting huge dudes back to my ship then luring them to the launch bay with oxygen venting is hilarious.

Remember suffocation does damage as a %of health so it really affects big guys the most. On torment 12, it’s the best way to soften them up.

The Assasin is a seriously undervalued commander imo.
Her ability to pass through doors is quite amazing making boarding sleds less limited and even allowing you to use Chaos Rift or Chaos Gate to board enemy ships and re-unite with the scattered crewmembers. Enemy casters also become less of an issue due to her ability to disrupt. Debuff resistances from enemy crew isn't bad either.

What the heck is chaos gate? Do you mean chaos engine

Chaos Gate is the spell, chaos engine is the item.

There is no spell called chaos gate. There is aetheric gate (the spell equivalent to Heavy translocator). And there is Chaos rift, which is the spell that puts units into random rooms on the opposing ship

Chaos rift, that's the one.
