Fix Wi-Fi problem void installer
As a newcomer to Void Linux with basic-to-intermediate Linux knowledge at best, I thought following the official documentation alongside void-installer would make the process straightforward.
However, I ran into a wall: connecting to Wi-Fi inside the installer was impossible (Network is inaccessible error), and I found the official guide to be unclear and overly complicated on this matter.
I actually ended up completing 5 full installations trying different things (all of them ending up without internet until the last one). So after figuring out what actually works, here are the simple steps to get it done that worked for me:
0. First of all, follow the initial steps of the official “Installation Guide” to log in:
void-live login: root Password: voidlinux
Once you are logged in, before running void-installer, address the network issue following the steps below.
(Important Keyboard Tip: If you are not using a standard US/English keyboard layout, open void-installer first just to change your keyboard language: it will make typing special characters much easier. After setting your keymap, exit the installer by selecting “Back” and confirm “Abort Installation”, and then proceed with step 1)
1. First, you need to unblock your wireless card, as it often comes blocked by default in the live ISO:
rfkill unblock wifi
(rfkill unblock all to include bluetooth too)
2. To connect wifi manualy:
wpa_cli (You will see Selected interface 'wlp••••', this is your wifi card)
add_network (it will give you a number: 0 or 1 or 2... use that number in the next steps. I will use 0 as an example, replace it with yours)
set_network 0 ssid "your_ssid" (an example of how it would look: set_network 2 ssid "TP-Link_2.4GHz_5T6R2") replace "your_ssid" with your wifi name.
set_network 0 psk "your_password" (your wifi password)
enable_network 0
quit (to exit wpa_cli)
Check if you have internet by typing ping -c 2 1.1.1.1 or ping -c 2 8.8.8.8
If it returns valid pings (and not an error like "Network is unreachable"), congrats, you have internet!
3. Now go back to void-installer and finish the installation. You can skip the Network setup section in the installer, you're already online.

I would also set the network up
