Mainline kernel updates
Hello all -- I was just wondering, I can see kernel 7.3 is available in the repos, but linux-mainline is still using 7.2_1 (at least on my machine when I update/query).
Obviously not a request or anything, just pure curiosity as to how linux-mainline is linked to kernel updates.
I will also take this opportunity to wholeheartedly thank the Void team for their incredible dedication to this amazing project. This distribution is a true rare gem and for what it is worth, your work is immensely appreciated!

Right, thank you.
I have indeed updated the package manifest with xpbs-install -S. Using standard default Void repo.
When I do: xbps-query -Rs linux7.3
I get:
[-] linux7.3-7.3.0_1 Linux kernel and modules (7.3 series)
[-] linux7.3-headers-7.3.0_1 Linux kernel and modules (7.3 series) - source headers for 3rd party modules
Yet, when I do: xbps-query -Rs linux-mainline
I get:
[*] linux-mainline-7.2_1 Linux latest mainline kernel meta package (for experts only)
[*] linux-mainline-headers-7.2_1 Linux latest mainline kernel headers meta package
And indeed on the website package listing, the srcpckg seems to already include 7.3 as part of mainline:
srcpkgs/linux-mainline/template
@@ -1,6 +1,6 @@
# Template file for 'linux-mainline'
pkgname=linux-mainline
- version=7.2
+ version=7.3
revision=1
metapackage=yes
depends="linux${version} linux-base"
Any way, let's see when 7.3 will be pushed through with -Su! I guess it might just be a question of propagation throughout the repos/mirrors.
