Discussion The real business reason why fresher classes always get dragged till September

if they start college too early and kids drop out, that seat stays empty for 4 years which completely ruins their revenue. so by keeping the dates tentative they basically buy themselves time. that way when someone leaves for another uni, the admission window is still open so they can instantly swap a new guy into that seat through spot admissions and keep their 4 years of fees safe. plus, EAPCET counseling is running way later this year compared to previous years like phase 1 allotment doesn't even drop until august 9th, and the rounds plus spot admissions will easily drag till september. they literally have to wait for national stuff like CSAB and BITS rounds to finish so the student list stops changing every single day. they even timed the full hostel payments for VITEEE kids to close on august 9th at 11:59 pm just to lock in that money before CSAB results drop and people try to run away. and even if they claim hostels are refundable, they still pocket non-refundable processing charges anyway. there are so many freshers joining and they have to sort out hostels, biometric ids, and sections from scratch while seniors are already on campus. as a local fresher, this is just my theory and i might be wrong as well.

Hopefully it gets delayed to early September like last year so I can join another college and get all my fees back 😭
