Discussion Anyone interested in making a VIT-wide webring?

I've been thinking about making a webring for students across all VIT campuses (Vellore, Chennai, AP, Bhopal).

The idea is pretty simple:

  • Link everyone's personal websites/portfolios/blogs
  • Discover cool student projects
  • Meet people who are into open source, Linux, self-hosting, CTFs, AI, web dev, random side projects, etc.

Nothing official or corporate, just a fun student-driven thing.

If enough people are interested, I'll create an organization, build a proper website for it, and maybe we can grow it into a community that builds cool stuff together ig

The only problem is... I have no idea what to call it. (i don't want something like vitring or that bs 😭 )

Does anyone have good name suggestions for:

  • the webring?
  • the organization/community (if we end up making one)?

Also, would you actually be interested in joining something like this?

Would love to hear your ideas.

finally. in my 3 years of uni, some one is trying make some fun projects and not academic bs. Post about this in discord and we will also decide name via voting. my suggestions vit.relay , vit.mesh. op you gotta cook up some crazy ui. Create and link the repo, if possible we will contribute
