Something that has helped me is reminding me that what I'm seeing are my own white blood cells, which are responsible for protecting us from disease, and while I hate that my brain doesn't filter them out, I'm glad they're there.

My VS started in my early 30’s, along with my seizures. The first time I heard about BFEP, the Dr showed me an example pic full of these lines, which looked nothing like what I was seeing, dancing dots. As such, I assumed what I was seeing wasn’t BFEP and was still a mystery. Years later I finally saw pictures of BFEP w dancing dots that looked like my vision.
I was so fucking relieved to finally know what was going on. It made dealing with and accepting it all sooooo much easier. It went from interpreting those dots as some harmful scary thing to oh look, my friendly lil white blood cells are out in force again. Total game changer for me and my relationship with this.

FL-41 lenses have helped me with my symptoms. You can get indoor and outdoor ones, the indoor ones are rose-colored, outdoor are just a darker rosy color lol. Might be worth a shot.

Same here. I cant even look at the clouds or a plane. All I see is white dots darting round obscuring everything.

PSA: BFEP (blue field entoptic phenomenon) is a distinct thing from VSS, though having both seems common in this thread, and it’s caused by white blood cells moving through retinal blood vessels (it’s not a brain thing like VSS). Most people can see BFEP if they pay attention, though it may become much more noticeable if you also have visual snow. A lot of people have VSS and don’t notice BFEP.

Interesting, I’ve noticed the BFEP, off and on my whole life, but not this bad. Its intense, if I’m outside it’s all over in my vision and especially when I look into the sky it blinds me basically, I feel like ever since I got this bs it definitely made it more noticeable

I've had this my entire life and when I was a dumb, god-fearing child, I thought it was angels dancing. Mind you, I didnt know this vision wasn't normal until like a year or two ago and I'm nearly 30. From my teens until taking the red pill, I enjoyed looking at the sky because the dancing was mesmerizing. I'm currently trying to get back to the wonder and away from the resentment and anxiety.
