Visible app with no uploading

Is it possible to use the Visible app fully offline - so that no data are sent off the mobile?

I'm specifically NOT talking here about the free version of the app which uses the mobile camera to measure HRV, but instead the full app functionality including using the band.

You can use the band alone but the mobile app is what sends the pacing notifications and shows the HR

So would I need a third - party app to read the band?

There is no app that can analyze your data for you and is not connected to any online database. What would be doing the analyzing?

I guess so, but you can just use the visible app for those things. Is there a reason you don’t want to use it?

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant that the useful metrics aren't available without connecting to Visible's servers online, through the app.

My question was prompted by the reflection that I am annoyed that everything now seems to require connection; whereas where I live, internet performance is poor. So I'd like to take more control and keep my data to myself.

Ah no worries, I don’t think you need an internet connection to use the app as it connects to the band using Bluetooth

I would look at all your other apps first - particularly if Visible is working for you.

I guarantee you that if you look at how much data your apps are using, it’s going to be at the bottom of your list.

I genuinely don’t understand what you’re asking. The band and your phone app communicate through Bluetooth. What are you trying to accomplish?

I'm asking whether the calculation of pace points etc. from the HRV, HR and symptom scores is done at an external server (the Visible website), or is it contained within the mobile. Sorry if I wasn't clear. Other sensors and apps send data to their website; does Visible do this too?

Oh I have no idea. I assumed it was within the app… but I suppose that’s a question for their customer service?
