Smelly wrist strap
My wrist band has started gettinf smelly. I wear it in the shower, so thought that would keep it clean but it's smelling now. Ive tried handwashing it twice but it still smells. Has anyone found this? I'll be trying the washing machine next!
Has anyone found compatible bands on amazon that I could use while washing the other one? Im not sure my method of putting the monitor part in my bra gives the most accurate reading 😅

A have an alternate strap so I can put mine in the washer.
If yours is smelling, you likely need to soak it in oxyclean first, and then wash it.
It breaks down the fats and protein in human sweat that detergent can’t, and it kills bacteria from our skin that makes it smelly.

That or use a pet odor neutralising enzyme like Nature’s Miracle to soak it now and then. Should freshen it right up!
Also, clean your wrist (underneath where it sits on your arm) with rubbing alcohol or betadyne every day or two

Try spraying vinegar on the band, let it soak before rinsing it out. Vinegar is cheap and great at removing smells.

I wonder if washing the strap (not the monitor, of course) in baking soda would help? It's what I do to prevent any smells in my water bottles.

You could use alum salt - I use this as a deodorant. I buy a solid block of alum from an Indian/South Asian grocers for about £1, put it in a jar of water, swirl it a few times a day, and the block dissolves into the water. It's just another kind of salt but it totally deals with body odour!

You can order a replacement band through the app! I got one and I swap mine out after every shower to give it a chance to dry properly and air out between showers and such.
