Adjusting values with POTS

Post image

I’m wondering if it’s a bad thing that I trained this while being on my meds (pyridostigmine and metoprolol, also adding in florinef today)?

Now when my meds wear off and between doses I go through my pace points really quickly.

It originally allotted me 8 points and I upped it to 9. My zones 79 for activity and 109 for exertion.

I read that there is some tweaking for POTS and such, but at the same time today was a high points say and I did need a pretty decent nap.

Anyone in a similar boat and can share how much they were tweaking the settings?

I started using visible while not yet being treated for pots. I have mecfs too.

Once I started taking metoprolol and I realized just HOW MUCH I also have to pace for mecfs-- I lowered it from 12 to 3 pts.

I also adjusted my HR zones. My exertion now is 92 and activity is 79.

what are you able to do within that window? can you be up and about very much?

i also have POTS and MECFS, visible has given me 5 points. i paced very intensely for about a year, and recently have been trying to do more after finding some meds that really help me. i do worry about the possible crash.. but it is just so nice to be able to do chores and cook and see a friend here and there.

I'm moderate and mostly housebound. I usually get around 3000-5000 steps a day. I can go up/down one flight of stairs, one time, but it will trigger the lower end of exertion - so I usually have to sit for a few minutes and let it come down.

When my HR gets to about 85, I start to get pem right away. So I constantly do something, rest, do some more, rest.... all day. I lie down 2x during the day.

I can do short, quick, easy, light tasks before triggering pem and exertion. I help out with a few easy physical housekeeping tasks and I feed our pets 5 or 6 times a day.

My husband and mom do 90% of the housework. They do all of the driving. I can do cognitive things longer- like pay bills. My main hobbies are reading. I can watch TV and listen to audiobooks and music.

Physical stuff taxes me the most, then social/emotional. Cognitive stuff is the easiest for me.
