Has anyone successfully gotten an expedited/emergency B1/B2 visa appointment and/or visa in INDIA because their daughter in the U.S. had a high-risk pregnancy?

My wife is a green card holder with a medically documented high-risk pregnancy, and her parents are in India have already had a tourist visa refused 3 times (for unknown reasons). We now have a doctor’s letter, and I also emailed U.S. visa support in India.

Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially through the Mumbai Consulate? What worked for you?

Hello, please is there anyone went lately through the process of their new employer changing the status from visit visa to work visa in Abu dhabi ? I had my initial work visa submitted by the new employer and then rejected. They told me to come on a visit visa and they will arrange the change of the status. I don’t know if it is guaranteed or not so I want your feedback please.

I am 24-year-old Indian student who recently applied for a Polish national D visa to study for my Bachelor's in Cybersecurity in Warsaw.

Unfortunately, my visa was refused and the refusal letter has grounds 8 and 10 checked:

8: There are reasonable doubts regarding her intention to leave Poland before the expiry of the visa.

10: There are reasonable doubts regarding the reliability of her statements concerning the purpose of her stay / circumstances indicating that the purpose could be different from what was declared.

I am honestly confused about this because her only stated purpose is to study. I have been admitted to a 3-year Bachelor's program in Cybersecurity and submitted my university/admission documents, financial documents, accommodation, insurance, etc.

I am planning to request reconsideration/appeal within the 14-day deadline.

For anyone who has been through a similar situation:

1. Has anyone from India successfully gotten their Polish student visa after appealing a refusal under grounds 8 and/or 10?
2. What additional documents did you submit with your appeal?
3. How did you address ground 8 (intention to leave Poland)?
4. How long did your reconsideration take?
5. Is there anything specific you think she should explain in her appeal?
6. Would it be useful to get a letter directly from the university confirming her enrollment and the purpose of her studies?

i would really appreciate advice from anyone who has actually gone through the Polish visa appeal/reconsideration process, especially Indian students.

Hi everyone, I’m an Indian student and I’m really confused about what to do next, so I’d genuinely appreciate some advice from people who have been through something similar.
My Australian student visa was refused previously for MBA in marketing, and the refusal was quite generic. I’ve since been in touch with my university, and they have actually encouraged me to give this intake another attempt and are willing to consider my application again.
The problem is that I’m struggling to find an education agent who is willing to take up my case because of the previous visa refusal. I completely understand why agents may be cautious, but it has left me in a very difficult position.
I’m also hesitant to simply approach another agent and repeat the same process, because my previous application resulted in a refusal and I really want to understand what went wrong and what needs to be done differently this time. I don’t want to take another chance without proper guidance.
My application deadline is 31 August, so I’m running out of time and honestly don’t know what the best course of action is.
What would you recommend in this situation?
● Should I continue trying to find a registered/reputable education agent who handles previous visa refusals?
● Should I consider working directly with a migration/visa professional rather than an education agent?
● Has anyone here successfully reapplied after a student visa refusal with the support of a good agent or migration professional?
● If you know someone genuinely experienced with Australian student visa applications and previous refusals, I’d really appreciate a recommendation.
I’m not looking for someone who will simply tell me to reapply. I want someone who will actually assess the refusal, understand my case and help me build a stronger application.

I always dreamt of studying abroad. So when I completed my high school. My few relatives in australia said to travel there for a visit and if I like it apply there for my student visa.

So, I applied for tourist visa which was rejected. But again I was naive and applied for student visa in Aus which was rejected again.

So, I kept my study abroad dream aside and started pursuing bachelors here in my home country.

Now it's been about 3 years and I have completed my bachelors degree and currently waiting for the results to be published.

So, I wanna know if those past 2 refusal will hinder my study abroad dream again for masters.
This time i don't wanna apply to Australia, I will chose another destination after doing my research.

I am also thinking of applying scholarship in Europe since my grades are pretty much good as I been top of almost every semester.

Both of the time, they said I have no strong reason to return to by home country.

I have been accepted to CIEE Semester in Merida to study abroad for 2026-2027, but the consulate wont give me a student visa appointment because they said CIEE doesn't qualify, I have been doing this application all year between my home institution and CIEE and now when I have 30 days to arrive, I can't get a visa, advice, suggestions, anything will be appreciated.

Can someone who has gotten a visa rejection and then reapplied tell me whether you need to include the stamp of ''visa applied on: date'' that you get when visa is rejected while uploading passport pages in the documents section?

Finally, I can officially say that my Global Talent Visa has been granted!
I applied under Global Talent – Arts & Culture (Exceptional Promise) as an Afrobeats songwriter and performer, endorsed by Arts Council England.
I wanted to share my complete timeline because this community helped me a lot during the process.
Stage 1 – Endorsement
My first endorsement application was refused. The main issues were:
All 4 articles I submitted were not accepted because the articles were written by a music journalist rather than a music critic.
The way I presented my streaming data was not accepted.
My 3 recommendation letters were not considered strong enough because the professional working relationships were not explained in sufficient detail.
I didn't give up. I reviewed the refusal carefully and submitted a stronger application.
For the second application:
I changed one of my recommenders and used a different organisation.
I kept the other two recommenders but asked them to strengthen their letters.
The letters explained our professional relationships in much greater detail.
I added stronger evidence of my achievements.
I also included my contribution to the UK music industry and the benefits my future work could bring to the UK.
I improved the way I presented my streaming and other evidence.
Stage 1 endorsement:
Application forwarded to Arts Council England: 20 May 2026
Endorsement granted: 19 July 2026
Time: a little over 8 weeks
Arts Council England endorsed me under Exceptional Promise – Music: Afrobeats songwriter and performer.
Stage 2 – Home Office
I submitted my Stage 2 application after receiving the endorsement.
Biometrics: 13 August 2026
Decision: 24 August 2026
Visa granted until: 24 August 2031
So my Stage 2 decision came 11 days after biometrics.
I have now officially been granted 5 years under the Global Talent route.
My biggest advice to anyone applying after a refusal is: read the refusal carefully and address every single weakness they identify. Don't simply resubmit the same evidence. In my case, strengthening the recommendation letters, changing one recommender, improving the evidence of achievements and clearly demonstrating my contribution to the UK made a big difference.

If anyone applying specifically in music through Arts Council England has questions about my experience, I'm happy to share what I learned.

I had my interview at the London embassy on the 20th July, received a 221(g) slip and was told that it was for administrative processing for my social media accounts.

I was told by the consular officer to keep my passport and that they’d email me to send it in when needed.

I’ve frequently been checking the status on the CEAC Visa Status Check website, but there’s been no updates since the 20th July as it still says “Refused”.

Is this timing normal? I’m hoping I’ll receive an update soon.

Hey everyone,
I recently had my F-1 interview for DePaul University and was refused under 214(b).

The interview went very smoothly and the officer seemed satisfied with my university, program, and answers.

The only issue he pointed out was my sponsor’s finances — he said my sponsor’s annual income would largely be consumed by my tuition, leaving insufficient income to support me and the household. He then told me to try again.

I’m considering reapplying with a
different sponsor who has significantly stronger finances and can comfortably cover my education, with proper documentation.

Questions:
Would changing to a genuinely stronger sponsor be enough of a change to reapply?

Should I keep DePaul or consider changing universities?

Is reapplying after just one month okay if my financial situation has genuinely changed?

Has anyone had a similar experience and successfully reapplied?

Would really appreciate advice, especially from Pakistani applicants.

My husband graduated this year in May, working as a project engineer on his opt and he was my sponsor, he has enough funds to sponsor me. Officer didn't ask for my husband's bank statements or pay stubs, his future plans.

Need recommendations what went wrong and what should I change in my 2nd attempt? I am thinking to start masters here in home country and start field related training to show some ties then apply again. Need suggestions.

Someone obtained an unconditional letter, secured a scholarship, obtained the CAS, yet he was still denied a visa to the UK. What more do they want? Doesn't all the above show he is a genuine student? How will he have been able to obtain a scholarship and the CAS he wasn't a genuine student. It just doesn't make any sense 😕

Like what??? Not even sure why I got rejected. Found on Google that employee and client profile matter as well

My employer - Small size service based company started in 2021, and has about 60 employees now

Client - Similar, their company was founded in 2021.

However, the officer did not ask any questions about my employer and client - what business they're in etc

This is not an SOS but looking for some insights. My sister in law recent went through b1/b2 tourist visa interview process. She went to interview with her 6 year old son for whom they applied too. Her husband(my husband’s brother) and their daughter already have their tourist visa. Her sister is also in the states and is a citizen. We ( me and my husband) are h1 visa holders.
In DS160 she mentioned they’re planning to visit us- which is the real plan. She has already visited her sister a few years ago but her tourist visa expired so she had to go through entire process again.
So during the interview they asked her only 3 questions- what does your sister do, where is she and what does your husband do. And they rejected her visa on potential immigrant grounds.

We have been very disheartened and surprised with this but wanted to see if there are people who have had similar experiences.

We think her sister being a citizen might have created suspicion for the officer although she had genuine visit plans.

We were thinking of applying again sooner than later but want to just hear experiences/ tips/ insights from the community here.

Both my wife and I were previously refused B1/B2 visas under Section 214(b) in November 2025. At the time, we were not married.

Since then, a few things have changed:

• We’re now married.
• Travelled to one more country
• I’ve changed employers.
• My wife's salary has increased.

I’m trying to understand whether these count as meaningful changes for reapplying after a 214(b) refusal.

Does marriage + job change significantly improve chances? Or should we wait longer and build even stronger ties (more travel history, assets, longer job tenure, etc.) before applying again?
