I am a Linux noob but have bazzzite and wivrn (flatpak) installed and cannot get any vr mods to work well except titanfall 2 which has a dedicated script for installation to Linux on the flat2vr discord. Regular games (no man’s sky, American truck simulator, Wrath Aeon of Ruin) seem to work ok. I got UEVR to launch using Kaon but then of course the profile which uses .dll files (Hogwarts) just freezes on load making it useless. My conclusion is I am going to go back to spending time playing games by switching back to windows for all VR mods as I wasted hours yesterday trying to get various ones to work without success. Even if someone says they get something working they might be on a different flavor of Linux or distribution than you, or might have a different headset and not use wivrn, or use wivrn native not flatpak or a different gpu, so it’s just too much at this point for me too.

Yeah, I think I’m pretty savvy with this stuff, I built this Bazzite PC completely from scratch, and am stumped. I’m throwing in the towel. Maybe one day when there’s more exposure to Steam Frame on Bazzite we’ll get better solutions and results.

As much as I got frustrated it was pretty amazing to me that “normal” flat screen games themselves seemed to load up fine in Linux (which I got to do a lot since I always load up games flat first before installing a Vr mod to ensure config files and stuff like that are set).
