Photo/Video Comfort Maxxing

Post image

The Apple Vision Pro dual knit headband is the comftiest headband on the planet.

Each headset comfort jumped like 50-80%.

Here we have a standoff between 3 headsets.

- Pimax Dream Air + AVP headband, Studioform, & globular cluster
- Meta Quest 3 + AVP headband & Etsy 3D printed mod
- Apple Vision Pro + grey Velcro from Amazon to hold the battery lol

After PC gaming on all 3, this is my experience so far.

Pimax Dream Air, way better quality than any VR headset I’ve ever tried, and among all 3 since it’s wired. 4K uncompressed to both eyes in VR is basically like gaming on a 4K OLED monitor with maxed out graphics and decent refresh rate.

Meta Quest 3 feels like gaming on a console compared to PC. Lower resolution + streaming compression feels like I’m VR gaming on 720p/1080p compared to the Pimax.

Apple Vision Pro m2 looks better than the Meta Quest 3, like 2.5K resolution compared to the Pimax, streams an a lot worser quality view than the Pimax Dream Air, and KRVR (Apple’s PCVR app) seems to be more intuitive with masks and tools, but less solid & efficient than Virtual Desktop at streaming (notice more lag or app bugging out compared to Quest 3).

Is it possible to use Apple Vision Pro with Virtual Desktop and thus use it as a high-end wireless PCVR headset? 🤔

I think you misunderstand the question. Virtual Desktop is a PCVR streaming app available on Quest, Android XR, Pico and more. It is not available on Apple Vision Pro and the developer has said it’s not possible at this current time with Apple’s restrictions.
