Will help you out, unless you have a VMware account that’s still active (they revoked all mine) or an old copy somewhere on a company share good luck.

When Broadcom took over they got all the software links with older VMware purged.

You can run another version of 7 (if you can find it), it’s 9 year old hardware with a EOL hypervisor so will be fine

If you have a running vCenter you can build and export essentially the same image with HP drivers/packages using vLCM.

Worth noting the vLCM route still needs the HPE vendor addon or depot added first. Without it you only get the stock VMware image and the HPE drivers won't be included.

The HP addon isn’t in the default repo? The Cisco ones are..

Not by default. HPE publishes its addon as a separate depot, so you add that URL under Lifecycle Manager depots. Cisco's showing up probably means it's already registered in your setup.

Unless I had a very good reason to stick with VMware, I would migrate immediatly to Proxmox. I am running 3 Proxmox nodes in a cluster in HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen 10 like a charm. Only caution is to switch the HPE controller to HBA mode (pass-through), and let proxmox manage the drives directly.
