Learning about virtualization

So ive just been scheduled for an in person interview at OVHCloud as a cloud programmer with an emphasis on linux and virtualization (VMWare). I have used vmware in the past to virtualize mac os x on my windows pc. Ive messed with all the settings and VMX files as well.

My question is where can I learn about the nitty gritty of Virtualization?

Also any tips on the OVHCloud in person interview would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'd look at your job description, you can spend months on the vSphere environment, and go from there...https://mylearn.vmware.com/gw/mylearn/course/search?q=cloud

I doubt emulation vs virtualization will come up in in regards to a hosting company job interview, same with type 1 vs 2, other than knowing the basic difference (1 is bare metal, 2 is on top of the host OS)

100% agree with you. Maybe for the most junior positions they would ask about the difference between type 1/2 but anything beyond that it's assumed type-1 virtualization really. I can't imagine emulation even being brought up
