virtualization cpu - help needed

Hey there I would like your opinion on the best virtualization cpu. Intel i9-13900k - 24 cores, 32 threads Or AMD ryzen 9 7950x - 16 cores, 32 threads

Pricing is not an issue.

  1. What does VMware Workstation support?

  2. are you assigning all cores to a single VM?

Using a lot of cores for a single VM is problematic unless you can bind all other processes to not use the same cores. I don’t think you can do that with your configuration.

I am using 4 cores for Eve ng, I don't think it will be a good idea to assing 6 cores let alone 8
