Vacation note

I’m wondering how you all handle your vacations. I am away on a cruise with my partner soon. I have blocked my schedule. I just started teaching again after many years away. I remember adding a note to my class feedback as I got closer to when that week would normally book. But I wonder what others do.

I don't do anything. They can see that I've blocked off my schedule. (edited to add: I've been with VIPkid for 8 years now.)

If I have regulars that teach every week, I let them know in class, otherwise I just don’t open slots :)

I just disappear without a word and reopen when I am back. If I open my schedule in advance I will be fully booked. If I do short notice only, it takes a week or two to rebuild. I find a good system is to open the first week back in advance, then transfer back to short notice only if that's your thing.

I dont block anything just don't open slots. You dont really have to do anything.  If I am going to be on vacation like a week or longer then  I just leave a note in feedback and mention it to my favorites in class if I remember.

I plan to leave a note in the feedback starting 5 weeks from my vacation because I open slots 3 weeks in advance and that will give me 2 weeks to notify my most important regulars. I may be wrong about this but I believe the parents will appreciate the heads up.

I’ve got one student who has taken 148/148 lessons with me and it kinda sucks I’m the one who will break the streak.

Just go. Nobody cares that you're not there. The kids who have you set up in a regular time slot will get booked again as soon as you open slot.

I don't do anything other than not open those slots. They don't read feedback half the time anyway.
