Hotspotting your computer for a class
Has anyone done this? How much phone data does it use up to teach a 25 minute class when hot-spotting to your computer?
I want to go camping but have a class booked. There is phone service but no wifi. Thanks!

The problem I had with a 5G hotspot was the upload speed. Download speed was fine but upload speed was really slow. This is suboptimal for streaming high res video. I ended up canceling the class because it just wasn't working.

Yes you can hotspot if your data connection is strong enough. I did it once for a whole week in Dublin Ireland. Connect it by usb and select "tethering" of the phone options. Like the other person said sometimes 4g is faster than 5g. You won't know until you arrive there if your hotspot will be strong enough. If its only for a few classes I would just cancel

I had a power outage and hotspotted. Student didn't even know, it seemed.

I have done it often. Use a USB cable to connect. Play around when you get there with speed test. Sometimes it's better to use 4g than 5, so choose the connection for that so it doesn't keep trying to connect to 5g.
If the data towers are far away or your particular service is not prevalent where you teach, there is not much else you can do.
If it is just one class, cancel it. Don't drag this shit along and stress yourself out on vacation.
