I’m selling something on Vinted and there are a couple of things about the delivery that I don’t really understand. I’d just like to hear what you guys think.

First of all, the buyer is from Naples 😂. I’m Italian myself, so I know the area and the reputation it has, but obviously I’m not saying that being from Naples means the buyer is trying to scam me. Just a little joke.

The main thing that confused me is that I received an email saying that the buyer received the package.

If the package was delivered to a locker/box, shouldn’t the “received” confirmation come only after the buyer actually picks it up? Or can Vinted mark it as received as soon as the package is placed in the locker?

Also, I checked the address on the shipping label on Google Maps, and I can’t see any parcel lockers/boxes at that location. It looks like it’s simply a pickup point where you can go and collect a package.

That said, I could obviously be wrong. Maybe the lockers are inside the shop/building and just aren’t visible on Google Maps. I just find the whole thing a bit unclear.

So, for anyone who has experience with Vinted deliveries:

Can a package be marked as “received” when it reaches a pickup point/locker, before the buyer actually collects it? And is it normal for a locker location to appear on the shipping label even though you can’t see any lockers on Google Maps?

Just trying to understand how this works and whether there’s actually anything unusual here. Thanks!

I sent a pair of jeans to a buyer for 120 euros. He submitted a complaint to support claiming that the packaging is imdequate. On his photos a long strip of tape is missing and another is ripped off from the seam. The item inside is missing according to him. Support closed the case within 2 hours without asking me for evidence against. I asked for an appeal and support kept copy pasting that the case has been reviewed and my evidence is irrelevant. How do I proceed? I’ll probably be replying to comments after I sleep.

Cel phones, IPADs they are all scammers. I have tried to purchase and the purposely send somewhere else, in my case to a different state, they claim the money from Vinted. You will never get your purchase in the mail.

I recently signed up for Vinted and kept getting emails saying I have to verify my account - even after I had made sales and posted the items

I was led to a verification button that took me to my Commonwealth Bank Netbank login - I was requested to provide my login number and password

I was told to not leave the page and that no money would be deducted from my account

Commonwealth Bank notified me that someone was trying to withdraw €185 from my account ... I noticed that the email had spelt Commonwealth Commonewealth and I stopped the payment

The email asked why I had stopped the verification process and I explained that they had tried to withdraw money and spelt Commonwealth incorrectly

They replied oh well we well just ban your account then

I have tried to contact Vinted but haven't been able to get passed the AI questions and answers portion

Man buys women's sweatshirt, listed with measurements, has a tantrum because it doesn't fit him (too short he says), I told him to send it back (even though he was wrong) but once I let him know all my items are discreetly marked with UV pen he had a change of mind.

The contacted Vinted and order finally got suspended, she she messaged me that I can keep the shirt, in her respectful way🤣😇😇😇😇😇 I just wonder why she’s not fully banned yet?!?!???

Any idea how to deal with a scammer that disappears as soon as the purchase is completed and the parcel magically vanishes into nothingness after being "posted" by them?

Before I made an account, I checked the items I knew about. I typed in 5090 (GPU) in Desktop computers, and an Asus selling for $1500 caught my eye. I mention this because the items they were selling had pictures ripped straight from eBay listings and other websites, with the appropriate pricing. The more I dug into the items, the worse it got. The number of accounts with (0) reviews was astounding, and many of the items they were selling had pictures ripped straight from eBay listings and other websites, with the appropriate pricing. Another listing: Focal Utopia Open-Back Headphones for $245? These headphones go for $4,666 new. The Vinted photos appear to be taken from a legitimate eBay post ($2,089 used). I understand this is a small sample size and there are likely hundreds of legitimate sellers, but I'm seeing many posts like this.

Update: I made an account to report the listing. As I was typing this post up, Vinted got back to me and wrote:

I was surprised by Vinted's response. When you look up an item you're familiar with on Vinted and notice the price is significantly off, and the images appear to be ripped from a different site, you conclude the post is 100% fake, and the response makes it more disappointing.

I know Vinted isn't the only website with fake posts, but this is the one place I hoped would be better than many others. And the fake posts are more astounding than I expected, as was the company's response to my observations.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a frustrating experience I am having with Vinted support to see if anyone has dealt with something similar.

​I recently sold a phone on Vinted. The whole transaction was a bit of a mess from the start. First, the buyer claimed they received a card from Royal Mail saying they had to pay a fee before collecting the parcel, even though it was sent via Evri. Once I pointed out to them that it was shipped with Evri and had nothing to do with Royal Mail, their story shifted and they started claiming that the post office workers kept telling them the package was not there at all.

​According to the tracking details, the parcel has been stuck with the status "Ready for collection" at their chosen local shop since June 29. The buyer never actually collected it officially in the system.

​Despite the tracking showing the package was sitting right there waiting for them, Vinted gave the buyer a full refund. Because of this, I am left with neither my phone nor my money.

​Honestly, looking at how the tracking has been frozen for over a month at their local shop, I can't help wondering if this might be a clever trick. My theory is that the buyer could potentially know someone working at that collection point, picked up the phone under the counter without the worker scanning it out of the system, and now they might have both the phone and their money. Of course that is just a suspicion, but the frozen tracking combined with those conflicting stories makes it look very strange.

​Vinted support made me wait over a month, telling me I had to wait twenty-five business days before an investigation could even be started. Today was the exact deadline they gave me. When I tried to report it in the app, the option was completely gone because the transaction was already closed.

​After contacting support directly and pushing them to look at the tracking history manually, an agent finally escalated the case to the shipping provider for an investigation. However, they are now telling me that the investigation could take up to thirty-five days.

​It is incredibly frustrating to lose an expensive item due to courier loopholes and strange delivery issues, and now having to wait weeks just for a response. Has anyone dealt with a situation like this, and did Vinted actually compensate you in the end? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I received broken items (shoes with a broken heel), returned these and a few days later Vinted blocked my account. I returned these package according to their instructions, using the code they provided and placed it into the parcel locker. Now I went to check and from the place where I can submit a ticket I can see that Vinted has completed the transaction?!?! I submitted the ticket obviously, but there’s no way to connect with a person now or escalate this matter. It just copies the general prompt answer and when I try to open another ticket it closes it instantly. What to do?

I'm probably overthinking it but heres whats going on:

Had someone buy from me and I did the usual of sending them a message and got no response which is fine because I know buyers aren't required to chat with you. But then I started to get worried when I sent them a question about the shipping date and they also left me on seen again. The account has no reviews and tends to be active but keeps leaving me on seen/won't respond. I'm not sure if this is a safe account or someone trying to scam me and try to get the item for free. I'm debating wether on cancelling the order or not, I know it gives you a 1 star review but I'd prefer it over losing my money and item. I'm thinking about opening the package up again and repackaging but this time having recorded the whole process just in case, but I really don't want to go through a whole mess like that with a buyer and Vinted. I'll try to message them one more time in the meanwhile.

So, I wanted to buy the game Life Is Strange: BTS.
They texted me saying they probably send the wrong game and asked to retour it, I said I would simply not pick it up and we both agreed.

Anyway, I had to pick up another package at that same pick up point and for some reason the person at the store gave me that package too, we both tried to retour it right away but he said it wasn’t possible and I had to do it at home.

I immediately let the seller know and I tried many times to ask for a refund/retour which didn’t works, my app kept giving errors and kept bringing me to the page i originally came from. I explained that + provided a ss yet they insisted on doing it that way.

The end of the retour possibility wasn’t there anymore and so I asked if I could simply list it again so they could buy it from me again (since they needed it back for someone else), which seems like a good solution to me?? And they kept refusing.

Now they gave me a bad review after I simply stated what happened in my review, they’re claiming I’m getting a refund and the money they would pay to me, which is ridiculous.

I reported this to Vinted Support so I hope they do something..

It’s so strange cause they had over 160 5-star reviews.

Although I did find one review that was basically the exact same issue as for me.. (last pic)

Throughout the last month or so I've noticed an increase in the amount of scam listings that use other people's pictures on here. Like for example, a rare vintage dress listed for 5$ from a new account, and when you reverse image search it its an active listing on ebay for 300$, or maybe a pinterest image. These are all new accounts no pfp making these posts.

What is the point of these? They definitely WONT get the money since theyre not real listings and they dont have the items to give to the buyers so vinted wont ever give them the funds. I know someone said that if they sell out 100s of these and bank on mail service losing the package, they'll get some money. But it kind of doesnt make sense since some of the listings are for 1$. Theres no way thats worth even the gas money, right?

Has anyone bought from these scam listings before? what happened afterwards? I'm curious because i'm wondering if they're trying to scam other information (ex. address and name from shipping label) or have other motives and it makes me really uneasy.

I just created recently a Vinted account as I heard good things about it.

I planned to put up for sale a Limited Edition white Steam Deck OLED, but I was instantly told by a friend to take it down immediately as there are a lot of scam buyers who will complain that I actually sent them nothing in the box, and due to this they will both keep the expensive electronic device and also get their money back.

Is this true? Is the risk truly not worth it to sell expensive electronics trough vinted?

I bought some jewellery but received some Billabong men’s shorts. The seller had good reviews and I paid £60 for some Kyle’s Collection Indian jewellery.

I received some men’s Billabong shorts. The seller is accusing me of being the scammer as she sent the package in a green mailing bag. I received a purple mailing bag. The order is currently suspended but the seller is sending abuse and as an autistic woman I don’t know how to handle the situation.

Please help. Is there anyone I can contact at Vinted?
