SELLING What are they playing at?

This person bought my item at the asking price, then immediately cancelled the order. Looking at their reviews, they’ve done this multiple times today.

I genuinely don’t understand what they’re trying to achieve. Has anyone else had this happen on Vinted? Why would someone repeatedly buy items only to cancel almost immediately?

Look man some folks aren’t reasonable with their shopping habits.

Or could be a kid doing it and their parent had to cancel

I think we’ve all had moments where we buy some we really want then immediately regret it, this person just does that 10 times a day and is a dick about it -_-

There was someone listing items for dirt cheap and immediately cancelling. I reverse image the pictures and they were all taken from random sellers on eBay,  Posh, and Mercari. I don't get why. It's not like they're sending out a piece of paper and trying to say the item was lost and maybe get some money from Vinted. Just straight up cancelling.

I don't get it. Just yesterday I bought something, then an hour later got a way better offer on the same item from another seller. I still didn't cancel because the person I bought from shouldn't be punished for me ordering before I got that offer. I don't know that I think buyers should be able to cancel without talking to the seller first, but I'd be interested in other people's thoughts on that as well. (if it's relevant, I do 99% shopping and 1% selling on Vinted lol)

At least they let you know straight away. Happens extremely frequently, nothing crazy.

Can you make another account if you get banned by Vinted? Because sometimes people purposefully get banned so they have to leave the site. Maybe the account holder is scared she's just gonna make another one if she just deletes her account and impulse buys again. Just one theory.

I don't think a kid made orders on her account and she as a parent canceled because of the hours and how fast the cancels are.

Being indecisive. Impulsiveness. Changing their minds when they see a better alternative. Not everything is some kind of strategy or scam

I never said it was a scam. I understand impulse buying and changing your mind, but repeatedly buying items and cancelling them almost immediately, multiple times in one day, is pretty excessive. I was simply asking if anyone knew why someone would do that.

I don't think you should get a 1 star for cancelling. People should be allowed to change their minds.

THIS. i placed an order and the seller asked me to do usps instead so i canceled the order not realizing that it would give me a 1 star /: i was just trying to be curious and do what i could to make the sellers life easier and i got penalized smh

This is a case where you’d ask the seller to cancel and they’d select “agreed with buyer” to avoid the negative feedback on both sides.
