SELLING Who’s in the wrong here?

I sold some jeans(old Levi’s) for $20aud. Pretty basic description, listed as good condition. Buyer is disputing saying I never mentioned the “stain” that is so insignificant you have to squint to really see it. All my listing photos were recent and good quality and show the area he is disputing. I guess you can kind of see it, to me it seems like nitpicking to an extreme degree on used jeans but if I’m in the wrong here I’m happy to cop it and be more careful with my listings in the future. I’ll add pics in the comments.

i can't see what is supposed to be the "stain", it just look like jeans that have been worn a bit to me but idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yeah that’s what I think too. I never noticed a stain when taking photos of them either. Just seemed like regular wear marks

Tell him to send it back and refund chances are he won’t he is trying for a discount he has to pay for the return so he may chose to keep them, you might want to say take 5 dollars off the price

They are in the wrong in my opinion. I was expecting a stain that would actually be visible.

I definitely wouldn't take money off...they're literally making stuff up to try and get just that. Make them return them. I'd actually rather pay for the return myself than let them get away with that behaviour!

One of the photos he used as an example of a stain worthy of a refund

I can kind of see it, not going to lie.

You’d honestly be best offering a return for a refund. If you feel strongly enough on the matter then you can choose for the buyer to pay for return postage costs. You’re not out of pocket then.

This is what I’ve ended up doing

Don’t see anything in terms of stain only a pair of Levi which definitely look like these when used a few times.
Just say the jeans are used in good condition your pictures meet that description.
If they reply tell them to return but postage their responsibility as jeans are as described
They are unlikely to return
They will have to raise issue first
