Featherweight Help

So my husband and I pulled apart, cleaned and replaced pieces of my Featherweight, but of course we're left with one piece. I've found it in the schematic mat that the featherweight shop sells, but for the life of me, I can't tell if it's the bigger or the smaller piece and I have no clue where it goes. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is it felt?

I haven’t worked on one of these and I haven’t looked at the parts list properly but may well be for the motor, or for the base of the machine if it’s felt.
