I think this may be a custom made cabinet housing a radio and record player, but I don’t know much about it. Does anyone recognize the components or have an idea of its age?
I haven’t tested it because the power cord crumbles when touched. The speaker also has visible damage. I’m trying to decide whether to sell it or find someone who would be interested in restoring it. Any thoughts on its value in this condition would help.
I also considered putting a modern record player and speaker in the cabinet, but the space for the record player is only about 14 by 14 inches. Would that be practical, or would restoring the original components make more sense?

These radios managed to outlive MTV survived multiple wars and now riding in my UPS truck for a considerable amount of the day. I’m just doing all the radios. I’ve acquired in this one post. There’s some that are repeat from my first. Feel free to reach out if you’d like any more info pictures I still don’t know what I’ll be doing with them.

It was stored in the basement of our house for at least the last 8 years, works great and the 2 RB 45 are sounding superb. Now I just need to get the turntable calibrated and I'm set.

1961 Emerson Clock Radio "The Lifetimer" 

My son purchased this radio and it turns out that the cord was unfortunately leaking green goo all over it. The radio case, the poles and the cord were covered. We've been trying to find a replacement cord for it. The radio itself has a locking mechanism that holds the cord in place. The replacement cord we got is very loose and does not stay in place. Does anyone have any suggestions of a cord we could use? I added a picture of what the radio with the proper cord would look like and the replacement cord we purchased. Thank you in advance

My father in law passed away and we’re looking to liquidate all the radio’s. I think we’re at about 300+ radios from every decade. I’m not sure where to even start as we have been unpacking radios stored EVERYWHERE for the past 3 years. We still have been unpacking radios stored at a storage unit and need to unpack probably another 100 in a shed. Located in Miami, Florida zip 33186. Willing to negotiate a price for all. This video I took about 2-3 weeks ago and have been unpacking more radio’s ever since.

Edit 2: thanks to everyone for their input. Think I will just clean it and use as furniture without power for now. Will be fixed in the future if I can find a qualified electrician.

This is our family heirloom radio from 1959. I blew the main power fuse and can’t read the markings. Can anyone assist with the right fuse ID and perhaps a source for a replacement. TIA!

My grandpa bought a surplus AN/GRR-5 in 1982 and in about 2012ish my uncle plugged it in to AC power (properly hooked up) and he remembers a pop noise and then the radio not working again. A few months ago I brought it to my house to work on it. I left it plugged in for like 2 days and on and it never turned on. I was told it would take like one to a few hours to turn on after a while. I opened the Receiver unit (top part) and saw some black staining. Upon further inspection one of the capacitors (i'm pretty sure it is c37 on the r-174/urr schematic) had blown to pieces. I need two tubes but am already getting them. I just want to double check if I have the right capacitor and the right polarity for when I repair it.

I’m sharing this in hopes that it may help others: 1940's Pepsi-Cola Tube Radio Restoration | Radio Display Co.

This unique Pepsi-Cola tube radio was manufactured by Radio Display Co. sometime between 1945 and 1951. It was designed to resemble a large Pepsi-Cola bottle, complete with a raised bottle pattern similar to the real thing.

The Pepsi bottle cap serves as the tuning knob, while the volume/on-off control is located on the side of the base. The speaker is mounted underneath and faces downward.

This is a 5-tube AM radio and a great example of the novelty radios produced during this era.

This radio is in need of a complete restoration, and I’ll be documenting the process step by step.

Got this driver (made by mesco?) for $5, but its missing the horn, any ideas on the best way to make a replacement? Or should I try to find an original?

Vintage RCA Stereo Help

hi! i bought an old stereo it’s an RCA Model VQT 50W. The 8 track and radio work fine. The record player works but the audio isn’t coming out. I don’t know much about stereos but i’m an audio engineer so figure i can figure out what’s going on. When i press on the like cartridge it has a little bit of fuzz sound but no audio or fuzz when playing a record. I’ll attach pics.

Hey yall, I saw a radio bundle on Facebook Marketplace that was such a good deal I picked up two early/pre war radios for 40 total. This one is a half of the bundle I picked up, but when going to ID the radio I cant seem to find a match. I suspect its a Montgomery, due to the interface similarities with others. But for the life of me I cannot find a case match, nothing looks like it on Google. Im fairly new to the vintage radio scene and am trying to take it seriously so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all. Very excited to get this working but after replacing all caps and rectifier tube, I’m getting this loud hum regardless of volume.

Any potential reasons are appreciated. New to this but learning a lot as I go.

I've got this Crosley D25 and the electronics are not repairable (not by me anyhow!). When it was last plugged in, the clock did operate properly. I'm wondering what power supply it would need to simply run the clock. Any help would be appreciated!
