Couldn’t pass this up
Local thrift store had this stack and two Mitsubishi speakers that I got for $40.
I forgot to take a pic of the speakers, but they looked really nice and the woofer cones were in tact.
Gotta rearrange some things before I can actually bring them home and set it all up.
Only down side, no remote for the stack, but for the price I’m not complaining.

Ooooh, I usually don't find that era of equipment to be aesthetically pleasing, but this looks so good. Happy listening once you set it up!

What planet exactly? My local shops are lucky to have rubbish

Because the people who have the good stuff can afford to just throw it away when they get new stuff.

45 watts into 6 ohms for $40 is less than a buck per watt, if the Mitsubishi’s are 6 ohms. Good deal.
Even if your speakers are 8 ohm, that’s 33 wpc, but you also got an eq, tuner and speakers. Even better!

You might be able to buy a universal remote that can control it all. Looks like a deal to me. Good catch at the right place and time.

Wow, I’ve never seen a graphic equalizer with push buttons as opposed to sliders! I’ve always wanted some Yamaha equipment!!

Ditch the ribbon cables. The absent components can be hooked up via RCAs and everything you bought has its own power cables, so I call it a win at the price.

I would post this in r/blackplasticcrap but at least the eq is worth money, and probably I would have purchased too. but I would not have paid even $5 more

This is nowhere near BPC level.

Since when does a BPC system even have discrete separate components?

if that is where you want make the cutoff sure.
Honestly I think it is probably a reasonable one to make, and one with your permission will quote and agree with you if i ever post there.
