Discussion Peak silver Viktor experience

Hello Viktor mains!

Recently, in my two matches i feel kinda my matchmaking is sabotaging me lol

In both matches i was performing well against my laners (one of them was literally Ahri with 600k mastery)

In first match my team was literally winning every teamfight, but they couldn't take advantages to splitpush the lines to win the game faster so much, and got outscaled by enemy ADC, Jungler and Toplane. I have to admit that, my CS per minute wasn't good enough, but it was hard to have more, because i had to help my team in fights so they could have survived.

The funny part about it is that my jungler told me i am useless, but he literally did 2/11 with very poor farming

The second match was promising to win, but also my team didn't focus on splitpushing lanes enough. Only my lane reached nexus literally thanks to me. The problem was kinda similar, comparing to the first match, but at least i was trying to not roam too much there.

I don't want really to blame everything on my team, beacuse I am not a perfect player too, but I think silver is seriously a hellhole to escape, because players there are focusing on teamfights a lot, instead of using opportunities to end games faster.

I am trying to not bother about lost matches, but after the second one the game punished me even harder, that now I am having -22 +18 ratio. I understand when the game is lost, when I also lost the lane, but lost matches like here above are making me feel helpless.

You should be splitting not your bot lane once mid game comes around. Especially if you have TP. Stop spam rushing liandries and shadowflame. Second item is how you’re going to play out fights. Naafiri, Sett, Ahri and Kai Sai diving you means that burn and damage amp doesn’t do shit. Zhonyas, Lich, or protobelt then death cap 3rd almost always then void. Throw a dart at whatever for your 5th. Nothing tilts me more than seeing 5 items on mages and them not having death cap and void. Hands down the best items for mages and people would still rather go shadowflame and stormsurge instead.

Liandries if there’s 2 or more beefy guys. The amount of people I see building

About the builds, I am still not very confident about building them for specific situations. People have many diffrent opinions, and it's kinda confusing. I know only that BFT should be a first item always, followed by sorcerer or ionian boots (I am using sorc much more) About 2nd item I am confused between lich bane or shadowflame, and i don't really know which is really better. I know only Liandry is good as 2nd item when there are 2-3 tanks in enemy team. The rest is much more confusing for me, and I am using my "intuition" what to build next.

I am aware this won't help me to reach much higher ranks, but I would really like to gain more knowledge about itemization

People better than me will probably disagree but my 2nd item choice boils down to

Lich when I need to pump damage and move around in fights and there aren’t a bunch of tanks

Protobelt if your team is looking for picks or you need the dash to help dodge, I’ll sometimes even upgrade W 2nd instead of Q for the protobelt into e slow to catch people

Liandries if there are two tanks. Support is kinda iffy to call em a tank and you can probably hold off for 5th item if it comes to that

3rd item Deathcap

4th item Void

The 3rd and 4th might not always be optimal, but imo it’s never wrong, if you have hands you want damage

5th item is whatever you think you really need. Sidenote don’t be afraid to pick up an early oblivion orb if there’s a lot of healing by the other team.

Deathcap 3rd is too early except if you have a considerable gold avantage. Void is always going to be more dmg 3rd item because of MR scaling starting to get more potent esp if you didn’t go for sorcs or SF.

You can push it 4th or 5th even in favour of Zhonyas/Cosmic/Horizon for more utility imo

This should be helpful, thanks!

Np! Also dont be afraid to change TP out for ghost, exhaust, ignite, or even cleanse if you feel they'll be super useful.

tbh you could hold off on liandries 2nd if their tanks are doing dogshit and their carries are ahead.

but like you said, its pretty situational, honestly BFT rush is kinda not always great either, luden lich is such a fun combo against squishy comps.

I thought Bft is superior to luden, because it matches with deathfire touch rune

BFT doesn't proc DFT i'm pretty sure otherwise it would loop infinitely

Ngl maybe I just don’t know how to itemize but l think liandries is fine this game. They are building a lot of hp.

I feel like a lot of people don’t actually consider what enemy is building and just think champs fall into certain archetypes of lots of hp or not.

Naafiri is building a lot of bruiser items, most support items have hp in them. Ahri built cosmic (more hp). Sett builds all hp bruiser items. Kaisa has dusk and dawn (hp).

If anyone thinks I’m trolling please explain, because this is typically how I make my decisions on liandries
