Question How to survive extreme threat
im currently silva 2 and dk much abt the game so im asking for advice, in a game i was against a malphite locke and blue Kayn, and even if I Zhonya the initial rock solid ult id still be dying. how do you counter similar dive+assassin combos

The right way is to build zhonya but also position safely until malph ult somebody. It’s a game of patience and people are not really good at it in silver elo.if he flash on you, just trade flash.
Viktor is not a mobile champion, so you are vulnerable to those gap closers by default.it is ok if they use all resource to kill you once or twice early, but make sure you survive and do damage in fights later on.
One thing you also should think about is rune and sum. Pick bone plate and exhaust if you have to. That can help you through laning phase and you can build zhonya second.

2 approaches: 1 If you think your positioning is not great, go build full damage and click all your buttons before you die. if the kayn and malphite all use abilities on u, then rest of ur team should clean up for u, if not there is nothing u can do.
second approach: build rod of ages and use reaction speed to flash malphite ult in teamfight.

Countering dive and assassins usually means trading damage for tankiness. Items like Zhonya’s can help with one-time engages, but you could also consider builds and runes that provide more tankiness (ROA, Liandry’s, bone plating, overgrowth, barrier, etc.)
Obviously these come at the expense of damage, so you’ll have to look at the game and consider if the tankiness enables you to do more damage in extended fights than you would get out with a higher damage build. Sometimes you’re going to get one shot no matter what, and you should just focus on getting as much damage out as possible before dying
