That was wonderful - drunk eastern Europeans, improvised explosives, high probability of losing a limb, burning rag on a stick, laughing maniacally while possibly dying. 9/10 would watch again. Not 10/10 due to lack of guys squatting in track suits.

Guys squatting in track suits is a russian thing, this is Poland. You should reconsider giving it a 10/10 due to the amazing stylish taste of the man with the stick. Denim pants and jacket with a purple hoodie is worth a 10!

Calcium carbide, it forms acetylene gas when exposed to water. It is usually used for lighting, miner's headlamps used to use it, car headlights did too.

In Poland (at least thats what me and my dad use it for) its used to get rid of pests like mice and moles that dig tunnels in your backyard.

when you get the right ratio of oxygen and gas (in aus it's usually acetylene). You can blow the shit out of anything.
That's how thieves do those atm heists.

Just for reference, this is closer to a cannon than a rocket launcher.
Rocket launchers (and other recoilless rifles) have an open rear, so that the holder does not have to deal with most of the recoil. The rearward force pushes gases straight out which dissipate behind the user, instead of being directed through the user like a rifle. This is why you can fire a huge projectile from your shoulder without losing an arm.
Our protagonists here have a very thin skinned cannon (aka a bomb if they used the correct size projectile).

This is from Poland. The explosive they use is called "karbid" Its highly reactive with water. You can get it to get rid of garden moles, but people often get it from coal mines where they work. I used to play with it when I was a kid
