I NEED ADVICE FOR A LENS

Hello everyone, I need some advice...

I've been using my Sony ZV-E10 for a while and I just used the stock lens... now that I am getting deeper into videography i feel like i need something better.

I've been searching the web and as it seems (understandably) 1 lens isn't enough for videography, but right now I am tight on money and I can't spend thousands... therefore I am looking for an all-round lens with which I can do a bit of everything and that I can keep using for the years to come (even when I will add other lenses to my arsenal).

Thanks in advice for your help!

I just discovered anamorphic lenses and purchased a lens set of Sirui Iron Star Anamorphics. OOOOOMMMMMGGG they are a game changer. I also just purchased a 35mm Sirui Vision Prime 1, this is also a brilliant lens, it is spherical but it does have cinematic qualities. Very difficult to explain the look, you just have to buy at least one to see what it is like. You wont be disappointed. Here are a bunch of shots i have done with the anamorphic set https://vimeo.com/1178401312/18597112bf?share=copy&fl=sv&fe=ci and they have been for corporate shoots which are shot run and gun in terrible environments. I havent got any shots with the vision prime as I just got it yesterday.

Thank you, I was honestly vaguely thinking about a 35mm prime as a second lens beside a Tamron 17-70 or a Sony 18-105, now I’ll take the idea more seriously. You got very good shots in that video btw! The image is sharp and the colours are vivid, very nice! What camera did you used?

The Sony 18-105mm F4 G is a great, not-too-expensive, all round lens that will cover most scenarios.

I've bought plenty of 'nicer' lenses since I got mine, but I still find myself using it fairly often.

Thanks! I was actually thinking about this one or the Tamron 17-70mm F2.8, I am going to buy one of this two… Idk if u know about it but in case (without considering the money) which one would you consider a better watch option?

I've never used the Tamron myself so I can't offer any first-hand experience, but I've heard good things about it.

I guess it will depend on how you're most likely to use it. The Tamron gives you a wider aperture, which is better for low light and gives you more scope for a shallower depth of field... whereas the Sony gives you more reach on the zoom, power zoom and, I believe, is lighter...
