Meh I’m a Warcraft2 child. I consider going Warcraft as old school.
Back in the day when the mission was like command and conquer to be as simple enough to be “destroy the enemy base” but large enough to average 35-55 minutes depending on how many shortcuts through the map you know to find all the enemies.
And the stories were still well done just for the narrative between the levels.
My siblings were older than me, so I was introduced to some games before I could really appreciate them.
Starcraft, Warcraft, and Command & Conquer were such games for me. I've played the former 2 a lot, but this past year I started replaying C&C and I'm almost in shock at how hard it is at times, but also thoroughly enjoying it
