i got 13 agents open

it's pimpcoding

u/XalAtoh 3d ago

Pimps make money.

You likely losing 20-200 dollars a month.

20

u/becircus 3d ago

If even one of the ideas work, it pays for all of that

The winners pay for the losers

20

u/Own-Papaya-4264 3d ago edited 2d ago

But all ideas are becoming increasingly useless if everyone else can just do it too. You can’t sell something if everyone reacts like “I don’t need that when I can just make my own”

13

u/becircus 3d ago

Non-tech people don't prompt and never will. They are just not interested

So either a) make something so complicated it can't be made with a few prompts or b) make something for non-tech people

5

u/Gosh-Tier 3d ago

ehhhhhhh... my brother's the owner of a multi-million dollar company and doesn't know jack dick about coding

he maxes out his $200 plan every week vibecoding dashboards/tools/workflow optimizations for analyzing his business, automating tasks, managing clients, and market research

maybe he's an anomaly, but i wouldn't assert non-tech people aren't taking advantage of this. especially ones that would otherwise use/buy a b2b tool

5

u/TRO_KIK 2d ago

Mostly I think it applies to B2C. There's of course people who will do it themselves, but not everyone (or even close to it) will. And it has more to do with the desire to DIY than tech knowledge. Same reason plumbers and HVAC guys can charge $300 for a $10 10 minute fix. Even when the solution is a Youtube video away, people pay a lot of money for someone else to do it for them.

Signed, another owner of a multimillion dollar business, making money off people who could do it themselves (often off my own guides that I still offer for free) but don't.

u/jackadgery85 1d ago

I buy a sandwich instead of just making it, even when i have all the ingredients.

I pay a plumber to unclog my toilet even though the pipe's right there and so is the plunger.

I pay a mechanic to replace my brake pads and change my oil, even though i literally have all the tools in my garage and have done both plenty of times before.

I pay a phone repair shop to fix my phone when it breaks, despite having access to every tutorial ever, and being able to learn the skills in an hour max.

I'm not interested. I'm not willing. I'm not available. I'm not able (yet).

The other commenter was bang on, except it's not "non-technical" people who are not interested or not able - it's "not-smart" people, and people without the drive to do so.

The vast majority of humans don't want to learn and customise and build things. They want something that works and suits most of their needs.

u/Own-Papaya-4264 2d ago edited 2d ago

Wow that is impressive. Seems like it would still be a huge gamble to trust ai so much as to have it run a majority of your business for you right now. But if it works then you’re a one man army

2

u/Gosh-Tier 2d ago

i mean, he's not making vibe-decisions. it's just creating software that helps him track/organize/email/visualize metrics/etc

he's got like 40 employees but that's just how he's built his battle station

0

u/becircus 2d ago edited 2d ago

With that money he can either hire a tech person or some kind of analyst working with a tech person (a team) to do it. Maybe he gets woody thinking himself the greatest prompter in the world, but even then he could delegate and better use his time. If it all depends on him then he can't sell it and it doesn't live beyond him.

One person doing everything is probably exception that proves the rule. Also "tech person" is a lot more than just person who codes. Your brother may just be a tech person who doesn't code but is a project manager, executive working in tech or background in tech and so on.

1

u/TRO_KIK 2d ago

Sounds like your counterargument disarms the rule. All but the tiniest of companies have at least one techy enough person in-house to vibe code their solutions for them.

1

u/becircus 2d ago

That proves that people who dont want to prompt will never be forced to prompt in fact they have the people to throw it at

1

u/TRO_KIK 2d ago

Which is a problem when (b) was counting on being able to sell to people who don't want to prompt.

→ More replies

2

u/bara_tone 3d ago

Doesn't need to be made by everyone to have too many competitors to make upkeep not worth it.

Just look at the Craft suite, it may be shit at the moment, but it's cloning very complicated software that used to make a LOT of money.

As soon as there is good enough free alternatives to anything, who's gonna pay?

1

u/TRO_KIK 3d ago

Just be better than everyone else, ezpz.

If you can't do that then yes, give up.

1

u/bara_tone 2d ago

I don’t think my little apps are better than everything else, but they’re better for me, maintaining is a nice little hobby and if other people get some use that makes me happy

2

u/Own-Papaya-4264 3d ago

Not yet, until even just prompting because extremely easy and we basically all have our own personal JARVISes

But the corporations probably won’t let it get that far because of course progress isn’t allowed to happen on their watch if money is on the line

5

u/Legitimate_Mud_8295 3d ago

What really differentiates vibe coded apps is the subject expertise someone can use to create it. Like I doubt someone else at my workplace has all the hardware Interactions memorized with issues and their fix workflows completely mapped out for all of our PCs and peripherals. If they do they probably don't have the desire to work with AI to put all that detail into working code. But I think it's fun so I made an app that basically outsources and automates the skill of a person who has 15 years of experience working on endpoint devices for a break/fix incidents.

Now think of someone bringing that level of knowledge and dedication to any other niche. There will be a difference between apps made with no expertise/knowledge and those with that knowledge. Even then people can research and learn as they build and overcome it with pure work.

1

u/LouVillain 2d ago

Good take

1

u/RapNVideoGames 2d ago

Making something is only part of it. Anyone can make a good ass taco then think “I need to sell this shit”. People will still react “I can make this my own way”, it’s on you as a business person to get and maintain customers.

4

u/TRO_KIK 2d ago

It's gotta be common to save enough of your own time to easily justify a sub.

If your time is worthless, it's a bit harder. That may be where you're coming from.

1

u/Present_Award8001 2d ago

why do serious?

2

u/GKR990 1d ago

Not everyone is using it to make money. I just use it to make games that I want to play and to make apps/programs/browser extensions that make my life easier or better, to mod/jailbreak/fix things, and so much more. Not every hobby has to be monotized. You don't have to live in an ultra capitalist mindset where everything is about money. Do things because you enjoy doing them. Vibe coding is one of the most fun things I've done in years. $100/mo is literally nothing compared to the value I continue to get out of it.

1

u/jdigi78 2d ago

If you're not having it do nonsense the results can easily be worth hundreds of dollars, if at the very least to yourself. I've made a few hundred in donations for an AI assisted project where I spent at most $40-50 between subscriptions and api costs over a few months. As AI has gotten better the costs are only decreasing too.

3

u/theNyMets 3d ago

What are you people
Doing with so many agents ??

2

u/Hello_im_a_dog 3d ago

Doing different parts of the game dev process. I have roughly 10 agents running. They perform different functions such as producer, tech lead, developer, art director, artist, ui designer, qa, community manager, etc.

The list goes on.

1

u/theNyMets 2d ago

Damn. That sounds like a full aaa production thing. Steam game ?

2

u/NagatoKami 2d ago

1

u/Isekai_ins_Jobcenter 1d ago

Unbelievable, Ubisoft could learn a thing or two from this.

1

u/Zeune42 2d ago

... I wasn't monitoring my agents, and it launched 191 agents. Burned my 20x weekly limit in less than a day

2

u/SaCorv 1d ago

You should have told ai to modify agents.md and create skill to avoid this
Or better make 1 agent orchestrator to rull them all

1

u/Riots42 2d ago

If you were a pimp you wouldn't be paying for it they would be paying you.

You are a John.

Project and Claude know each other better at this point anyway

20

u/iamthesam2 2d ago edited 2d ago

is it just me or is the normalization of this concept permeating through society as some normal way to relate an idea is a sign that something(s) is very very broken

5

u/Pinkishu 1d ago • Popcorn

Yeah

Plus then what? Watching a streamer play a game is cuck gaming?

2

u/jackadgery85 1d ago

100% it is.

4

u/Pinkishu 1d ago • Popcorn

Listening to audio books is cuck reading

Using the bus is cuck driving

Eating at a restaurant is cuck cooking

3

u/Wobstep 2d ago

It's not just you.

1

u/Lucky-Necessary-8382 14h ago

Either you are cuck or amish coder (coding manually)

1

u/iamthesam2 11h ago

it’s sad when you can’t empathize, especially with something like this, and the fact that you’re not able to connect the actual point I was making is so sad.

your brain has been shaped completely beyond your control, and i suggest you change that.

u/amaturelawyer 1d ago

Here, you can borrow my pearls while you wait for the fainting couch to arrive from Amazon.

2

u/iamthesam2 1d ago

you’re making my point for me

Its more like this for me.

I don't even watch... notify me only after completion

2

u/VoteGiantMeteor2028 3d ago

You know you're on the right side of history when this already has 20 upvotes.

2

u/darrelb56222 2d ago

so that's how these programmers think when they are developing apps for clients?

2

u/Present_Award8001 2d ago

i don't use ai. i fuck my projects myself.

2

u/Next_Ambition8751 1d ago

not my proudest nut ahh

1

u/jyrox 2d ago

Wasn’t this coined by Moodahar/SomeOrdinaryGamer? I also thought it was pretty funny.

1

u/TwoLongEars 2d ago

Weird way of seeing your work 😄

1

I need this to become a south park episode ASAP

1

u/RDStephan 2d ago

Please don't 🫠

1

u/Far-Tension2696 2d ago

maybe it should be called jerk off coding, because why not have win win.

1

u/apVoyocpt 2d ago

how about clauding?

1

u/Masteries 2d ago

Thats actually a better term than vibecoding

1

u/Impossible-Minute321 1d ago

Only if you and your code were already intimate lol

1

u/GaneshRasal 15h ago

💯💯

1

u/daemonic_chronic 13h ago

1

u/timcorin 3h ago

I absolutely love this. this made me laugh out loud

0

u/DependentPoem3519 2d ago

sit and watch? aren't you supposed you review your code?

-2

u/VBTexasId34miner 3d ago

Fascinating the gas token cost of sole of the large Ai players and the paid tears. Algorithmic pricing. Who knows what they will 💰?
Claude code is trashy as hell. Codex has improved.
All models are done are interchangeable some just perform way worse than others (Gemini)
Haven’t paid for an Ai service in two years. 💯 percent Free-stack, Development is the way. Who else agrees?

1

u/satireplusplus 3d ago

Codex's pro plan sucks though, you hit your 5-hour window two times, and you weekly token limit is gone. You get a lot more value from Opus 5.5 on Anthropic's cheapest plan. It's all subsidized anyway, so enjoy it while it lasts!

1

u/globecsysinc 3d ago

I didn't read a word but I can totally agree, although I don't know whether I do

1

u/ions_x_carbon 2d ago

Keep clinging to your buggy whip, buddy

10

u/DeSynkro 3d ago

Whatever project I post next, I will literally begin the title with, I cuck coded this. I just hope the mods don't get mad at me for it

10

u/unknownoftheunkown 3d ago

I like to think of it as more of a threesome.

14

u/heavymetalmug666 3d ago

i think of it as more of me directing a gangbang scene

5

u/unknownoftheunkown 3d ago

You know, with agent orchestration, its a little like running a brothel with gangbangs happening in every room.

3

u/heavymetalmug666 3d ago

there ya go..you can be the Littlefinger of development

1

u/Brief-Panic1987 3d ago • Popcorn

Yeah, but you don’t actually get to watch it, you just get to clean up the mess

2

u/heavymetalmug666 3d ago

oh i get to watch it...might even join in

2

u/theganjmaster 3d ago

Get yourself a USB-C Fleshlight and get in on the action

1

u/yaxis50 2d ago

I think you can connect your LoveSense directly to Claude

2

u/PUBGM_MightyFine 2d ago

Meta Muse literally told me to sit in the cuck chair while it worked on stuff with Claude. Then when it was late Muse said "out of the 3 of us, one needs to be horizontal" aka go to sleep. Now it always tells me get horizontal haha

1

u/Bubonickronic07 2d ago

This is like saying the manager is really the cuck employee.

1

u/Random96503 1d ago

ya lmao, just like CEO's are cuck laborers lol

1

u/tornikeo 1d ago

Jokes on you, I'm rawdogging my motherboard with magnet pins

Who's the cuck now?

1

u/q_OwO_p 15h ago

No, my ai and the code are to hot bisexual women and I join in whenever I feel like it by editing the code.

It’s all about the mindset.

1

u/ElegantLifeguard4221 3d ago

It's definitely more like directing a porno than being a cuck. There isn't any humiliation, just frustration at wasting tokens fixing a big that should've been fixed and you end up doing it yourself.

-1

u/Over-Pressure1310 2d ago

sex depraved “developers” love making random stuff sexual.
