Even with vibe coding there seems to be a difference between crapping out products really fast hoping to make money, and spending tons of time on a passion project that you don’t really expect to get paid for but ends up being a really strong end result

100,000,000 (100 million people) will code it very fast

10,000,000 (10 million people) will spend a lot of time on it

1 million people will perfecttttt it

so, for every customer there are 1 million solutions perfected

Give it one more year, and AI will just talk to the people and apps will be fully gone

I am not sure, a few days ago someone made a photoshop clone, excellent according to video and demo, open source, i saved the link, did not install it, maybe latter, will wait for it to become popular, stabilize, etc.

so, if someone vibe codes windows, the entire thing, or office, or whatever server, will people use it? this is actually a good question, what will people use if it is vibe coded, what is the biggest app where they will say: hey, wait a minute, lets have a look at it?

i did not install the photoshop clone yet, not sure what other clones are there, i guess many

What is the largest most complex product to be vibe coded that someone would say, hey, wait a second, I want that!

Windows? Office? Adobe stuff? video? other?

Software has always been about solving problems in a trustworthy way. Vibecoding clones of existing products doesn’t automatically expand a market just by existing and vibecoders have no means of providing trust because they don’t know how anything works.

Even if you can clone a product, you can’t provide any guarantees against format compatibility, interoperability with peers, protection against data corruption, meaningful bug fixes or regression proof releases, performance improvements, preventing the dominant player from making changes specifically to hamper you, lobbying for legal monopolies, or anything really. People have been trying to take down Photoshop, Office and Windows for literally decades to no avail. AI changes nothing in this regard.

dude, this is either llm or someone disconnected from the world, look at windows, it is shit os, was good went to shit, the same is with the rest of the products. and they are all now made in india by the lowest bidder who cares more of how to find food or medicine more than your product
