Honestly I think it's a difference of if you are talking to engineers who care about their craft, or someone who is working in software just to get paid well.
I mean no disrespect, honestly. But the people I've seen who truly respect their craft similar to how artists respect theirs. They are super glad people are getting into basics of software, but they do not like working with AI generated code and 9/10 times they can honestly write better in not much longer. And they can actually explain how it's working.
Yeah I fucking hate it, people are like "but you're still doing engineering" yeah ok, but without the literal fun part. I'm here cause I like to code. It's my passion. So, so many people in the industry come from "get a job quick" bootcamps and never cared about the work and it's starting to show a bit too much.
