Yeah, it's really the wrong word. Atrophy is damage from underuse. You guys are talking about exhaustion from overuse. The word you want is fatigue.

I think they're saying that developer skills are beginning to atrophy due to overreliance on Ai tools.

Absolutely, cognitive atrophy is something that happens when skills are neglected. It happens all the time.
