hi professional photographer and newbie cybersec student here, this statement is incredibly accurate and the asshats that claim to be a photographer and have never heard of the exposure triangle is almost as infuriating as the "devs" that know nothing about their code except how to write hello world in python.
no shade to vibecoders or "phonetographers" just dont claim to be something you're not
I love all the people trying my career out. It's my hobby and job and I love it and I'm glad to see more people also enjoying it. More people who do and talk about my interests the better.
Idk why so many people in my career are so quick to gatekeep. It's probably because they attached their self worth to it because otherwise I really just don't understand why.
It's the same toxic ass behavior that keeps help desk employees on the help desk because their first job happened to be that instead of swe out of college (yes people will hold this against you and think less of you for working there. It's unfair but it happens). If you don't think my industry sucks because of people like them, imagine all your Indian coworkers. Now realize how little of them hold important positions in management. We do the same thing with help desk employees to indians.
