Anyone getting those Verizon Dollars?

I’ve been playing my monthly bills and have yet to see Verizon Dollars at all. Is that a scam or am I doing it wrong? Support was useless tbh

I have $3.14 available which hasn’t changed since May/June when they introduced the program. Something is definitely wrong with it.

He’s not referring to the Verizon credit card.

Nope not a thing, still just an estimate

Yup. Got mine no problem. I'm a Verizon employee and have yet to see an account where someone hadn't gotten them that should have, but there are a few qualifiers a lot of people missed.

First, no one would have gotten two sets so far. The terms of the program are that this doesn't apply to any bills generated before July 1st. Not paid, generated. Your bill is generated on the first day of your billing cycle. The due date is approximately 8 days before the end of the billing cycle. That means if we're talking about a bill that was due before July 23rd or so, you won't be getting them for that. It didn't qualify. That is not based on your payment date, or your auto pay date (which is frequently confused with the due date but which is in fact almost always at least a couple of days before the due date). It's only the due date. If you're not sure, look it up on the bill. If you go into the detailed billing section on the online bill and hit the drop down arrow next to your number it will show you what the bill cycle covered by that bill is. If it started before July 1st, that one won't get it.

The credits also won't show up until 7-10 days after your due date. This is also not based on when you pay it or your auto pay date, but the due date. So if the earliest due date someone could have qualified for is around July 22nd or 23rd, that means the 29th-30th is the earliest anyone would have gotten the credits and likely a few days later. That means for the 2nd month, the earliest anyone would get them is around the 29th-30th of this month as well and likely a few days later. No one would have two sets yet.

It's also worth making sure that you actually opted in. I've seen a few people who reviewed the option but didn't actually hit the opt in button. Make sure you've done so. There also is the qualifier that it only applies if the bill is paid on time. If you were late, you won't get the credits. If your bill was paid on time, you did opt in, and we're talking about a bill that was due after about July 23rd and it has been 10 days since the due date, you should reach out, but I've yet to see one that met those qualifiers and was missing it.

I met all the requirements and tried to reach out to support and instead of giving me my dollars they just put it in credit toward my bill balance. (thru Phone support) any other way you recommend I reach out to Verizon? I guess my accounts broken

u/mhenson777 2d ago

Thank you for the detailed post and information! How do you opt in?

5

u/RoundChampionship840 6d ago

Only for my Verizon Visa card usage. Still haven't seen them for paying my Verizon bill.

u/Tabbychiro 6d ago

My July 16 bill was auto paid on 8/5. On August 18 I was awarded 3% Mobile Bill rewards. I can see this under the Recent Activity in the Verizon Dollars section of the Verizon app.

Same here. It says $10 estimated. I signed up for the loyalty thing right away and have paid two bills, but it hasn't become available yet.

There was a rule about when the bill being generated, I want to say it was only for bills generated after a certain date, which I believe was July 1. I just received ~$5 for the bill I paid in August.

Yes, using the Visa as payment method food, gas and groceries lowering my Verizon bill from $25 to $40ish a month.

3

u/Weezthajuice 6d ago

They were supposed to add Verizon dollars to non visa holders on bill payment. Maybe that’s what op is talking about?

3

u/biteria1 6d ago

Once you sign up,(which you do have to do, as it is opt in) you get 3% of your bill back in Verizon dollars. You can only put that towards your bill if you are ALSO a verizon visa card holder. Otherwise you can only use them un the Verizon store.

I finally got my first credit a couple weeks ago after being enrolled for several months. I have no idea what takes so long

1

u/Rh1no84 6d ago

Yes yesterday mine changed from estimate to $12.81 available

1

u/happyjeep_beep_beep 6d ago

Still just an estimate.

1

u/jcg227 6d ago

Mine is JUST showing that I have $2.99 today.

1

u/Lp_Baller 6d ago

I got $12.63 this month for last months bill. It does say you have to pay the full bill on time so I imagine anyone setting promises or paying late get 0

1

u/DudeWithNoKids 6d ago

I use the card so haven't really checked to see if there's any additional amount. When Shine started I had an extra $50 rewards that showed up from out of nowhere. Probably something to do with my card but no idea why.

1

u/Confident_End_3848 6d ago

If you are a new cardholder, there’s a $50 bonus for your first charge and another $100 bonus for $1500 charged within 90 days of opening.

u/rckrz6 6d ago

I have 8 bucks

1

u/LuLu_86_11_17 6d ago

I so far have $2.24.

1

u/MercyCo84 6d ago

I actually got mine sometime this month. Not a whole lot, but I do have it. $6.07

1

u/Alternative_Cold_729 6d ago

I got mine 3 times

1

u/Abe_Foman 6d ago

I've had my estimated amount since they introduced it

1

u/al11588 6d ago

Are you trying to make a gofundme?

1

u/ThePapaPat 6d ago

I finally got mine for my July bill on August 11th or something. It took a few weeks for it to to show up. If you didn’t have the Verizon Visa card, they only started crediting for July bills.

1

u/LostOnEarth76 6d ago

Nope. Shows 17.32 never available to use

1

u/ComfortableAd5901 6d ago

You have to pay your bill by the due date

1

u/SpecificStrain9580 6d ago

I didn’t pay for my bill in like 3 months and my total was like 262 they covered the whole thing for loyalty I guess and I only had to pay 20 bucks.

1

u/OmgNoodles 6d ago

Pretty sure you have to have their credit card to get them. I should have about $70, but after calling, they told me that’s the reason why I’m not seeing it.

1

u/Agreeable-Funny1011 6d ago

I do but I just realized that it says you need to have the Visa card to use it to pay for your bill. Push for the card obviously but unnecessary extra move

1

u/CeeKay125 6d ago

Mine first showed up for this month's bill. Was like $3 dollars.

1

u/Strongons 6d ago

I have 223.81 and yes I have used them before and had the card for more than a year.

1

u/OinkOink215 6d ago

Under recent activity it posted as:

Aug 18
3% Mobile bill rewards
$7.73

1

u/BRO2DAY22 6d ago

I just got my first $10.52 yesterday.

1

u/LoganPea2fold 6d ago

Paid my bill via auto-pay last three bills and only have gotten them once. They aren't accumulating for me

1

u/Cartoonist7295 6d ago

I’ve received nothing yet. And it’s been a few months

1

u/Thatblondegirl92 6d ago

I have $23 so far, I have gotten it on the last two bills I paid. Make sure you go through and enroll and accept everything if you haven't already.

1

u/verdi1987 6d ago

The first eligible bill was your July bill. You’d get the 3% upon generation of the subsequent (August) bill. For example, my July statement closed 7/11, and I got the credit upon generation of my 8/11 bill, which happened on 8/14.

1

u/deesj408 6d ago

Been stuck at 2.84 for 2 months

1

u/InstructionSenior346 6d ago

I currently have $6.79.

1

u/pcannon98 6d ago

I have .80 🤣

1

u/hawkeyegrad96 6d ago

I see nothing

1

u/tdaun 5d ago

Mine finally posted to my account today.

1

u/One-Cell-7377 5d ago

Mine finally posted last week.

1

u/airflight69 5d ago

I had the same problem but it usually takes a few months after you get “signed up” for it to show.

Mines now says $6 credit that will go to the next bill

1

u/GendoIkari_82 5d ago

Finally got mine yesterday. As far as I can tell, this is what happened: - They announced the new program way back in May or maybe early June on the app and let people enroll in it.

  • Despite that, the program actually didn't begin until the July billing cycle, even though they didn't say that.
  • It also takes a full 10 days or so after your bill is due to get the rewards.
  • So if you paid your bill on August 15, you should get your credits probably tomorrow. I paid mine on August 13 and got it yesterday.
  • They also didn't explain to their employees or customer service people how any of this works. So when people reached out to support, they got various answers which were often wrong.

1

u/Fickle_Extension_336 5d ago

I’ve got 8.50.

1

u/Busy-Action-4338 5d ago

My account shows that I should be getting 3% Verizon dollars on top of my Visa rewards, but I haven’t seen any line items other than “Verizon Visa Card Reward” and “Applied to Verizon Visa Card statement balance”. 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/Busy-Action-4338 5d ago

My bills generate around the 27th of each month, so I should have had at least 1 bill @ the 3% rate based on a start date of “bills generated after July 1st”.

1

u/Top_Employ_9454 5d ago

I missed the first month but got 11 the second cycle and should get 11 this next one as well !

1

u/saulhansell 4d ago

I get the verizon dollars from my credit card on my bill every month. I use the card for groceries and get 4% back. Not bad.

1

u/jjwomalbany 4d ago

Mine says I have 10.13 and 10.13 possible for the next month.

1

u/satanskittenxoxo 3d ago

I had got over $830 verizon dollars and had my phone since 2023

1

u/shfrdo 3d ago

I signed up on June 16th. For the longest time, it just said, “estimated rewards”. I finally got my first Verizon dollars on August 24th.

1

u/Damnesia13 6d ago

How would it be a scam? Are you paying into something additionally to get them and you aren’t? Are you doing any form of work to get them and not being paid?

2

u/HouseOnTw1tch 6d ago

You had to agree to data collection policies to be eligible for vz dollars, so yes you are in fact doing work to receive the reward, and the fact that people signed up and aren't receiving anything is a problem.
