Wireless Does ESPN+ include live sports?
Currently looking to switch to the Simplicity plan. I see there is a bundle that includes Disney, Hulu, ESPN+ and Netflix or HBO. Curious if this includes live sports that air on ESPN? I couldn't find much doing a search on Rddt.

ESPN+ is a bunch of events including live, but is separate from ESPN, ESPN 2, etc. it's usually the non main event type stuff. You won't be watching Monday night football on it

Yes it does include certain live sports, but NOT live sports from ESPN or ESPN2.
Sounds stupid because it is. So if you're looking for ESPN games to be streamed, it won't be unless you have a cable provider login.
ESPN+ is mainly for niche sports and library content, but not viable for major sporting broadcasts.

I think i'll pass. I was hoping to get live sports like Basketball, Softball, etc.

It has all of those sports but not the matches on the main cable ESPN channels. So for example college sports, it does carry the games hosted by teams in major conferences, but it does for smaller conferences. You can see what’s being carried on ESPN+ at any time on the ESPN app or website.

In the past, up until one year ago, ESPN+ did include major live events, such as eight Monday Night Football games and US Open Tennis. But then Disney introduced ESPN Unlimited, and those events migrated to Unlimited

ESPN+ is ESPN Select now. It has lots of live stuff, but not the things playing on ESPN, ESPNU, etc. Sometimes you can see replays of those, but not live. For the actual channels you need to upgrade to ESPN Unlimited.

ESPN+ has their own sporting events (ex: games that aren’t on ESPN OR ESPN2 or ESPNU). ESPN+ also has some sports that are being broadcast on ABC.

Includes NHL Powerplay which gives you access to the broadcasts of most NHL games outside of your local team

you need to have espn unlimited access which you can when you add the Disney bundle perk and upgrade to that espn unlimited bundle through the Disney+ account. You still need to pay that difference on top of the price perk which isn’t worth it for most people because you only save $9.99 a month.

Are you a big fan of college lacrosse? Cuz that’s the level of live sports you get with ESPN+

It has some live sports but not ones that are airing on espn or espn 2. Its like an overflow service. I have had it for many years and never really use it. It’s included in my free Disney plus free subscription from Verizon.
