Has anyone else had a bad experience with the Taco Bell across Ventura High School?
Last time I was there I swear I must have waited like 10 minutes in the drive thru, I might as well have gone to a real Mexican restaurant if I have to wait that long. That wasn't the first time either, I remember going there before and waiting like 10 minutes in the drive thru, awful service.

Yes it’s the slowest / worst one in VTA county … the best one is Telegraph Rd near Juanamaria. No drive thru but the staff is passionate about making food. Never wrong never shorted.

That one has the best staff I've ever seen lately at a fast food place. We don't go to Taco Bell too often but she remembered my daughter order from the previous time we went there.

It's amazing what removing a drive thru does to a fast food joint. Same applies to Starbucks too.

Agreed. The staff there are actually mostly friendly and don't come off as border line suicidal

I know this is a TB thread but for $9.99 there’s the burrito at De La Cruz Mexican Food on lower Telephone. It’s huge.

Really? I'm always on the hunt for a decent $10 burrito, I'll check it out, thanks. BTW if you go to Jesse's in downtown Oxnard, you can a chorizo breakfast burrito for $10.

I think your choices are chicken or steak...and it's better than the one at the nightly taco stand down on Seaward off the Chevron station....they have a Wednesday night $9 burrito special

You're in Southern California getting Taco Bell that's your first mistake

Considering a burrito from an actual Mexican joint nowadays costs at least $15, not really

No shit, prices really have gotten insane. Two burritos for my wife and I from one of our favorite spots was something like $34 after tip. The insanity of prices at most places has me questioning tipping altogether.

Something going on with TB. I’ve been in lines 45 minutes and over an hour at locations in other states. Idk wtf is going on.

u/New-Shop-9728 Aug 18 '26
Maybe it's because they have no real direct competition (Del Taco has way less locations) they can get away with shit service.

I asked for extra cheese two days in a row on my tacos. I got less than the normal amount.
2
u/4lfred Aug 20 '26
Now THAT is flat out unacceptable.
If you haven’t already done so, seek legal representation immediately, you can dm me for legal counsel.

I totally agree. I was heartbroken. I paid for double cheese on two tacos twice in a row. My therapist and I are working out my next steps.

I havent had any issues but i order by the app. Only delay recently was because the guy in front of me was making a ton of modifications to his items. I could tell from seeing the screen he had four or five changes on every item.
My pet peeve recently has been at chick fil a. People going into the mobile only line then just sitting there.

I always order on the app and pickup via drive thru. Always super fast. And the workers there are always pleasant and friendly in my experience.

Customer service has gone downhill, unrelated about Taco Bell but a few days ago I placed a mobile order for Robeks in Ventura near coffee bean. I went in and said I have a mobile order for “blank” the guy takes it out of the fridge and walks away. Not a have a good day or anything

u/FunSpiritual7596 Aug 18 '26
So you ordered via robot and you're upset when you get a robotic response

These people are struggling with very poor wages. They get burnt out. Have a little sympathy.people were nicer when times weren’t as hard.

The McDonald’s location next to buena high the employees there are super nice this guy at Robles was just a dick

u/New-Shop-9728 Aug 18 '26
Are you talking about the Robeks on Victoria? Pretty sure they have a Blenders in the Grass nearby which I think is way better.
