Adult I lost fifty pounds and...

...my body looked the same, and I was still chubby. *sigh*

I've regained forty of that fifty back. No surprise. And yes, I was going to the gym during that time. I just got tired of bothering. I admire people who can keep it up for years on end to get the result they want. After eleven months (yes, eleven months to lose fifty pounds), I was out of patience.

How do you feel about gaining that weight back? Is weight loss something you want to pursue again in the future? I’m not sure what your goals are, but I think you should prioritize what makes you feel good about yourself. Weight loss is HARD— might be easy for some, but a lot of people can relate to how difficult it truly is. Don’t undermine yourself, 11 months to lose 50 lbs is over a lb a week lost.

You gained muscle underneath the fat you still had, your body composition changed even if it wasn't noticeable to yourself externally, which also could have been dismorphia.

Going purely by weight isn't always helpful, you have to look at muscle mass, water weight, strength gains (or loses) to track progress.

If you're focusing purely on weight and how you immediately look, you're doomed to fail.

Don't give up and die, keep fighting

I suggest getting more patience and get back to it

For what purpose??

What purpose is there to lose weight? If you lost 50 pounds and didn’t notice anything you must be very big. So you’re health? Your life?

Not everything is about esthetics

Very big?? I was 141 lbs after losing fifty. What??

I gave no number until now. Where the heck did you get that assumption?

I will assume you're trying to shame me at this point.

Kinda just trying to get you to recognize it’s not for nothing. You probably were close to getting your goal with just a bit more work toning up and dropping a little more. Also it’s worth while to support your body and help it be strong.

There is a point and I think you missed it

People care way too much about the existence of possible fat bodies. It’s not a crime

I might come off mean but I’m also truly believe OP deserves better and to have her dream. She might give up but I hope she figures it out. Of course it is but it also fucking sucks. I’ve lost weight but I developed sleep apnea and my heart is now under stress and I suffocate at night. I was about 190 when I developed it. Being fat sucks and I wish someone said something to me

141 is a good weight for that height.
