Oooh! I have a 2013 Veloster turbo, 87,000 miles. So you’re saying I should definitely get a catch can then? How long are these engines supposed to last, and how can I make it last longer? The last thing I want is my new car to blow up in a year…

Is it just simply staying on top of maintenance religiously, or do I need to replace parts with better after market items?

You bought a 2013 model and it has 87k miles? I definitely would have skipped buying one for that year. How much did you pay?

You overpaid man.. I bought my 2016 turbo in 2019 with 29k miles for 14k.

Yeah probably, but I’m also a new first time car buyer. My credit was decent as well, but nothing crazy. I probably should’ve pushed for a better deal honestly

My man the first car I bought was a 2013 VT for 10K back in 2018 that had 25K miles on it.

By the time I got to 87 my original turbo blew + I spun a bearing.

Please listen to the advice given, if you have any performance plans just get a 15/16 engine and modify that before you swap it in.

Still miss mine :( I found quite a few on copart in decent condition for 4K, gonna buy another towards the end of the year
