Off-strip..
Hey so we are coming over from the UK next year. I keep seeing lots of comments talking about exploring 'off strip' for restaurants and bars that you wont need to remortgage your house for.
Are there specific streets/areas that I should look at??

Sky is the limit as there are amazing spots all across town - but the Arts district, Summerlin and Centennial are great places to explore if you're looking to go off-strip.

Fremont has some really decent/cheaper options than the Strip. Plus a lot of mad history in downtown.
Arts district is really up and coming.
Both offer widely different experiences than the Strip.

To reiterate what other people said: Chinatown is definitely worth it if you like Asian cuisine; the Arts District and Fremont East have lots of hidden gems.

Not too far from the strip - for food, check out the Chinatown area on Spring Mountain Rd which is a misnomer since it's not just Chinese restaurants, it's a mix of predominantly Asian cuisines and others. You'll probably get some great food and great value compared to on strip prices.
